The first step in the surgery is to make an incision in the lower abdomen, just above the pubic area. Next, the skin and fat are separated from the abdominal muscles. Once this is done, any excess skin and fat are removed. The abdominal muscle is reapproximated and the remaining skin is then pulled down and reattached. A small incision will be made to insert the belly button. Finally, the incisions will be closed using internal sutures.
Although recovery time may vary from patient to patient, the ideal is to wait 10 to 15 days to resume activities and you should be in Colombia at least 15 days.
